It’s time, more than ever, for the feminine to rise. For eons we have undervalued and even suppressed the feminine qualities. Feminine and masculine qualities go way beyond gender, they are aspects within our existence that in ancient times were called yin and yang, shiva and shakti, eros and logos. Within a world of polarities it is easier for our human brain to use a framework. We have lived in a world where masculine qualities are dominant and highly valued: push boundaries, take risks, challenge, competition, short term goal oriented. We have been valuing objective analysis, linear thinking, structure, rules and regulations. Only when we have scientific proof it’s a truth and we live life mostly in our heads, valuing being productive. 

These masculine traits are in no way to be judged as bad. However, if they are lived in an extreme (some of them are wounded masculine qualities from patriarchy etc.), you can see where this brought us: burned out bodies, exploiting our resources, be it body or earth, needing more security and control, being disconnected from our emotions and feelings and from trust towards life. Numbing our pains and wounds and from that place, hurting ourselves, others and the planet.

The change is already happening. Often the feminine qualities are naturally more present within women and women are now stepping up. What makes us all more human, meaning the masculine and feminine energies within all genders to be present, mature, healed and integrated, are compassion, love, tenderness, connectedness and togetherness. What we really want to bring forth is our empathy, supporting and caring, educating, embodied leading, empowering, creativity and listening to our bodies, our hearts and each other. Pleasure and playfulness and learning to be comfortable with the unknown and trust our intuition.
